A stronger voice for Ward 5.

John Muir has been in Bolton for over 26 years, raised his family here, and has helped families & businesses across Ward 5. From coaching youth sports to leading community fundraisers, he has spent decades quietly showing up for the neighbourhoods that make Bolton home.
He's running because Bolton deserves a councillor who listens first, plans carefully, and puts residents ahead of politics - every single time.
Five priorities, built by listening to residents across Bolton.
Community-first leadership built on listening, planning, and putting residents first.
“John actually listens. He knocked on my door, took notes, and followed up a week later. That's the kind of representation we need.”
“He understands what local businesses face - from parking to permits. Practical solutions, not empty promises.”
“For years John has supported our youth programs. He shows up. Bolton is lucky to have him.”
