Who is John Muir?
John Muir is a proud 26-year resident of Bolton's Ward 5, where he lives with his wife and two children. He is proud to call this community home.
Community involvement and being present for local families have always been a priority for John. He has volunteered with the Bolton Wanderers Soccer Club for more than 18 years, including nearly a decade serving on its Board of Directors.
Through his work with families and young athletes, John has supported grassroots sports development and recreational programming, helping to build strong community connections and opportunities for residents of all ages.
John is also a certified Pickleball coach who facilitates training programs and helps manage adult recreational programming throughout Caledon.
Professionally, John brings more than 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, having worked in procurement, retail property management, marketing, sales, and advertising. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive business expertise, managed large portfolios, and supported diverse network operations.
Now, John is ready to bring his years of community service, professional experience, and strong work ethic to represent Ward 5. He is committed to being a strong voice for residents, supporting families, and helping ensure Bolton remains a safe, vibrant, and thriving community for generations to come.
Community involvement
John has volunteered with Bolton Wanderers Soccer Club, food drives, and youth mentorship programs. He believes strong communities are built one Saturday morning at a time - not in council chambers.
Why he's running
Bolton is growing fast, but roads, safety, and services haven't kept up. John is running to make sure Ward 5 gets the infrastructure and voice it deserves - and to protect the character of the community he calls home.
